Victorian Chickadee house
Victorian Chickadee house
Inspired by one of my favorite artists. Made from a candle holder, I kept the white color, The roof of this was actually an old bird bath from my own yard I turned upside down and added a small round copula. I think it looks feminine and slightly Victorian. The painting on the redwood panels is colorful, and playful. I was able to use the original opening clasp for easy cleanout, and a flowery cedar cookie for the base. This will need to be mounted on a pole with a flange attached to the underside of the cedar or smaller 2 x 2 post. Chickadees like to be away from other birds. (600') abt. only have one chickadee house by my living room window in my front yard with no other bird houses around. They don't mind the people just other birds.
This one is so cute... Will be a nice addition to any home. pole not included.
