Zen Garden Birdhouse
Zen Garden Birdhouse
Love this one.... One of my favorites. Siding made from repurposed cedar from a cabin on Lake Michigan that is getting torn down. The roof is redwood strips that used to be a shelving unit. (sliced it up). Hardwood spoon from a local spoon maker. copper on the windchime is from the restore. the beads on the windchime a from a copper and shell necklace. Glass on the windows and door are from a candle holder. Fence is made from Lake Michigan Driftwood and copper that a friend gave me to repurpose. The best part is the birdbath... made from two things... cherub musician on the bottom and attached metal cup as the bath portion painted to look like it's from an English Cottage.... Having a daughter that lives in Europe is a constant inspiration for me.
As with any wood product this needs to be cared for. Brought in in winter.
I use exterior paint, glue, sealer.
